Madonna tour set to break record
Material Girl Madonna is set to hold the record for the highest-selling tour of all time by a solo artist. The songstress has so far raked in about £137 million in ticket sales on the European and American legs of her Sticky & Sweet tour.

Eric Bibb gospel-blues concert is Nov. 18
Back by popular demand, gospel-blues singer, songwriter, guitarist and recording artist Eric Bibb returns to the Gila Valley for what is expected to be a sold-out concert. He will perform Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Eastern Arizona College’s Lee Little Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Richards Music/Radio Shack and the Graham County Chamber of Commerce.

Tesco announces profits
Tesco has revealed a 2 per cent rise in their third-quarter of sales in the UK.

TUC urges minimum wage increase
The minimum wage should increase to £6.10 an hour next year and to £6.50 in 2010, and the age for being paid the statutory adult rate should be lowered, the TUC said.

Asda cuts another 1p off petrol
Supermarket chain Asda slashed a further 1p a litre off its fuel prices. The cost of a litre of petrol is reduced to 88.9p while diesel goes down to 102.9p a litre.
